Formerly Jacob is a Christian band established by Geoffrey Klerekoper and Israel Hall

“When we decided to come together as Christian musicians, and to create Formerly Jacob, there were a few issues that we mutually held closest to our hearts. Sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and the message of salvation and redemption through His sacrifice on the cross is our #1 mission in everything we do. We set out to bring hope and truth to anyone who is lost, broken or hurting in life. God has given us a passion for creating music and we are focused on using that to glorify Him. Another issue that is absolutely central to our hearts and ministry is the Pro-Life Movement. We are committed to standing up against abortion in every form. All unborn children have a God-given right to life and we are honored to stand beside great leaders and organizations, like Dr. Alveda King, to fight for those children. The song “For The Little Ones” was written as an anthem for those babies and as a prayer for Jesus to transform the hearts and minds of the people across this nation and the world. Our hope is that the message of this song goes everywhere it is needed most, and that it helps make a difference.”

For The Little Ones – Formerly Jacob

We say a prayer for the babies lost to violence.
For the little ones taken away in silence.
For the ones we thought had made it through,
Just to be left alone until they met You.
Watch over them.
Keep them safe in Heaven.

What have we done? To deny a sacred life.
What have we become? When broken hearts are called unjustified.
Oh Jesus, bring a Revolution in our hearts, in our minds.
Oh YAHWEH, teach us Your compassion.
Show this world the value of a life.

We cry out for those resting in their mother’s womb.
Who never knew it would also be their tomb.
For those children, fearfully and wonderfully made.
Ready to live but had it all ripped away.

Before You formed them in their mother’s womb
You knew them all, every single one.
They were meant to be born, You had a plan for them.
They were blessed, every daughter, every son.
What have we done?

Oh Jesus, bring a Revolution in our hearts, in our minds.
Oh YAHWEH, teach us Your compassion.
Show this world the value of a life.
